WHEN WE ARE SAFE, WE ARE FREE TO LEARN.

A gentle, mindfulness based horsemanship designed to establish oneness between you and your horse.

Everyone reaches a point in their lives where the old systems no longer work for their growth.

We must be humble, return to the basics, and start again.

We need to be supported to grow safely.

We need to be witnessed with compassion.

We need to be reminded that we are all in the great relearning process every day.

When we feel safe and comfortable, the survival parts of our brain are off.

This allows for the mind to open up to the space it needs to take in new information.

When we honor ourselves by accepting this as the basic container for life, we open up the endless possibilities with our horses.

Most of us come with a story, a story that includes fear, trauma, shame, anger, guilt, from simply existing.

To release the story, first we must witness these parts of ourselves.

When we choose to witness, we are then able to release.

When we release, we become empty.

When we are empty, we are able to show up neutral.

Neutral is where your horse always begins.

They live in the empty space, free from ego, ready to start anew at each moment.

Let's begin anew with them, as one energy.

JESSALYN LANGE

Jessalyn was raised by the lake in Northern Michigan, who's loved horses since getting atop her aunt’s Arabian, Max, at 2 years old. Her foundation is Natural Horsemanship based, with a focus on Dressage through her teenage years, evolving to Western while working at trail riding stables, reining barns, and elk hunting ranches. Her extensive background with mindfulness practice, alternative healing methods, and plant medicine, is also integrated into her work with horses and humans. An instinctive nomad, she can be found in Denver, Northern Michigan, San Diego, and anywhere in between, almost always available to provide her array of offerings.

Besides her equestrian background, Jessalyn is also an energy worker, constellation work facilitator, and mindset coach who focuses on ancestral healing, perspective re-patterning, and heart awakening.

Her fields of study include: Family and Systemic Constellation Therapy, Manifestation & Intuition Coaching, Personal Natal + Transit Astrology, Non-duality/Oneness, and ever evolving forms of highest self embodiment.

GREAT HORSEMANSHIP STARTS WITHIN

It took me years to discover how I could integrate horsemanship back into my adult life. In 2020, after a very dedicated 5 years of intensive self development, I was reminded of my heart song: my dream to be working alongside the horse. Now, I bring every ounce of my healing journey into the round pen with me. Hours of meditation, mastermind classes, coaching sessions, therapy, deep soul exploration, energy work trainings, medicine work ceremonies, the list goes on. I believe that my skills begin long after the baseline of 10+ years spent working and riding at ranches and stables. For although these are the integral years that we show up physically - putting on our jeans and boots, mucking stalls, saddling horses, dragging arenas, cleaning tack, scrubbing water buckets, picking pastures, shoveling feet after feet of snow from the gate - that is simply the first layer of the cake. It's when we begin look inside ourselves, dig into the deeper parts of how we show up for ourselves: this is when our horsemanship transcends. When we are willing to show up in truth, to work through the layers and leave our old stories behind, this is when we begin to show up in integrity for our horse.

Always with love, Jessalyn

"What should I be thinking about when I'm looking for a new instructor?"

I want you to find the best possible teacher you can on your journey with horses. I would love to be the person you choose.

But am I?

Only you know.

In order to assist you in this process, I've come up with few points you can ask yourself along the way while you search:

• Am I clear with what my needs are? If not, do I feel safe to be vulnerable with my teacher about my amorphousness?

• Can they help me create a shape for my desires?

Does this person seem able to get out of their own story and see me and my horse for who we are?

• Can this person guide me with compassion and calmness if fear is to arise within me during any of our time together?

Is this trainer honest with themself and the emotional state they are in? If so, are they able to meet me with wherever I am on the days we are together?

"Can you tell me more about your background with horses?"

I grew up riding English, focusing on Dressage, on top of a foundation of Natural horsemanship. The equestrian club where I rode trained their whole staff (and most students) in these Natural horsemanship methods. All horses had to have Double Diamond rope halters if the staff or students where expected to handle them. I rode there for six years, and began working as a stablehand for four of those.

Beyond that I've worked at hunter/jumper barns, champion reining ranches, trail ride stables, elk hunting lodges, and more.

My teaching journey began with basic riding 101 at an elk hunting ranch that provided hunters to ride out in the early mornings of their hunts on horseback. Many of these people had been on a horse maybe once, and needed to feel comfortable to ride their mount in the 5 degree weather, with gear & rifles on their back, in the dark,

at 4am.

I've taught both adults and children, and love teaching anyone who wants to learn, no matter what age or experience level.

A few of my educational experiences that supplement my teaching methods:

• Horsemanship I & II with Buck Brannaman

(Auditor, 4+ years)

• Horsemanship II with Buster and Sheryl McLaury

(Rider, 2021)

• Five Day Horse Constellation Training at Silver Horse Retreat with Sara Fancy

• The Mastery Program Level I (Facilitator) and The Mastery Program Level II (Support Role) with Jack Blackwell

• Source Embodiment Course Level I & SEP Lab with Justin Hartery

LESSONS

Every day, person, and horse, is different. They all deserve to be met with a process that molds to their individuality. No one gets a cookie cutter experience. If someone needs to spend an hour just catching and grooming their horse, we do it. If a horse needs 30 minutes to get the saddle on safely, we do it. If someone shows up emotional and needs their lesson time to be 45 minutes of human processing, we absolutely do it.

The lesson energetically begins the moment you decide to put it in your calendar. I encourage all my students to begin their awareness of what is alive for them the moment they engage in the container.

Every lesson is expected to include a student check-in, as well as some duration of groundwork. This allows us the opportunity connect with our horse, ourselves, and determine the state of our collective energy each day.

Depending on the experience of horse and rider, riding may or may not be part of the lesson. If we are working with a greener horse, our lessons can simply be grooming, tacking, and groundwork - or only one of these practices.

Riding is not required to book a lesson, 100% ground lessons are also welcome.

We're never looking to bypass any steps. By following this procedure, we keep ourselves, and our horses, safe from hasty accidents.

I've designed my lessons to be 1.5 hour long sessions.

This allows enough time to give you the most multidimensional lesson possible.

Expect to be presented with methods you haven't previously practiced in traditional equestrian work before. This can look like: meditation, breath work, energy balancing, emotional check-in and release, ancestral guidance, journaling, long pauses, mandatory water drinking, coffee & chocolate breaks -

just kidding about that last one, but hey, you never know.

Introducing these practices will undeniably create a deeper and more connected experience between you and your horse.

"Learn to listen and see the signs of the Universe. Rid yourself of what is not essential. The more you own, the less you will have. Return to nature. Water. Fire. Earth. Wind. The elements that have created humanity are the same that will destroy it. Learn to live in harmony with them. Love those around you and lend them a helping hand. Don't waste the opportunity you have been given to breathe and to know."
